Born and raised in the bustling city of Mumbai, she graduated from the prestigious Manipal University and immigrated to Calgary to explore the world of Physiotherapy. Her perpetual yearning to understand the complexities of the human body motivates her to stay current and up-to-date with the latest trends in efficiently diagnosing and treating her patients, which has led to her taking numerous courses throughout the years of her professional journey. She loves treating everyone who comes to her, specializing in TMJ dysfunction, concussion injuries, and vestibular dysfunction among other muscle, bone, joint and nerve injuries.
Her own journey with pelvic floor conditions and battling PCOS led her to become a certified Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist.
Her compassion and genuine desire for the betterment of her patients is what sets her apart. She is a huge proponent of Evidence-Based Practice, finding the root cause of the injury and treating the individual as a whole. A hands-on approach and providing individualized care to her patients is a big part of her treatment etiquette. Heather Tomar
Heather E. Tomar, RD holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University and completed a year-long Accredited Dietetic Internship. She holds the protected title of Registered Dietitian in Ontario and Michigan. Heather has over 25 years of experience working with clients in a multidisciplinary Family Practice meeting, with individual clients and/or their families.
She has provided Worksite Wellness and Health Promotion with customized Nutrition Education presentations to large and small groups. Heather also had a monthly radio spot called Nutrition Nook for over 5 years and most recently worked as Lead RD at North York Family Health Team in Toronto, ON.
Because of her years of experience in nutrition behavior change counselling, Heather knows how to work with clients to help them stay motivated and achieve optimal nutritional health. She does this through a client-centered approach using current, evidence-based nutrition information and coaching strategies.
Heather believes that nutrition is one of the foundations of good health and well-being. Since nutritional needs change throughout a person’s life based on age, disease states, other stressors and heredity, balanced nutrition and a healthy relationship with food can set the stage for optimal health.
She is passionate about helping people live a healthier lifestyle through “gentle nutrition” and knows that restrictive diet rules will not be sustainable over time. Everybody is different and nutritional needs vary from one person to the next so Heather offers customized nutrition plans.
In addition, by shifting focus away from the scale and toward how a person feels, a non-diet approach can help heal a person’s strained relationship with food and their body. She believes that people can be healthy at every size and that weight is not a determining factor of overall health. If a person can make sustainable changes over time, they can achieve a healthy body weight vs a number on a chart.
Heather’s areas of specialty include:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome/Low FODMAPS
- Anti-Inflammatory Eating
- Women’s Midlife Nutrition
- Cardiovascular Wellness
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size

Camilla May
Camilla May is a dedicated practitioner trained in the art of Spinal Flow® Technique under the guidance of Dr. Carli Axford. Dr. Axford, a former chiropractor and skilled teacher, is renowned for founding the Spinal Flow Technique, a method designed to enhance the body’s innate ability to heal.
About Spinal Flow Technique:
The Spinal Flow Technique is more than a method; it’s a philosophy and a science-driven approach. Rooted in the belief that every human body possesses innate intelligence to heal itself, the Spinal Flow Technique focuses on the spine and nervous system as pathways for Life Force Energy. Stress and tension can create blockages in these pathways, hindering the natural flow of healing energy.
Key Features:
- Safe and Intuitive: Spinal Flow Technique is designed to be safe, intuitive, and easy to learn.
- Promotes Self-Healing: By releasing stress and restoring the flow of Life Force Energy, the technique encourages the body to heal and repair itself.
- Founded by Dr. Carli Axford: Dr. Axford’s expertise as a chiropractor and educator ensures a grounded and effective approach to spinal health and wellness.
As a practitioner of Spinal Flow, Camilla facilitates sessions aimed at helping clients release spinal stress and enhance their overall well-being. Her training and dedication to this technique allow her to help those seeking a holistic approach to health.
Kate Curran
As the clinic grew, so did her knowledge and expertise. Her ability to learn quickly allowed her to take up more responsibility and gradually start assisting with patient treatments.
Her next role as a Patient Experience Manager came with its own set of challenges and growth. As part of her role, Kate started overseeing the daily operations of the clinic on multiple levels and coordinated with our wide variety of practitioners and clinicians.
Kate’s favorite part about the journey, in her own words, has been the ability to consistently improve her skills and keep things running seamlessly. She is also grateful for the regular interactions with the practitioners, which have allowed her to gain valuable insights into the field of physiotherapy and patient care.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her spending time with friends/family, watching reality TV shows snuggled up with her dog, playing recreational sports, cooking, trying new food, and meditation!
